Kastos Port - Ionian destinations - Sailing information

 A very nice and quiet village that you can relax and enjoy your drink at the bars next the beach

Approach Kastos       (38°34'07N / 020°54'47 WGS84 )

 Free of dangers . From S the entrance of the harbour is not easily identified but a windmill which is on the SE side of the bay will guide you to the port. From N the islet of Prasonisi is easily identified and the windmill at the SE side of the entrance will guide you to the port.

 

Mooring

 Go stern or bows-to the inner side of the quay .Good shelter , good holding .Care must taken at the SE corner of the quay which gets shallow .Alternatively anchor at the W or NW side of the bay with a long line ashore .Shelter is good although strong E  winds can make it uncomfortable and even dangerous at times.
