With this system the sail it gets rolled in the mast
The way that it gets rolled is through the winch on the mast
To control the winch you can use the continuous line which end up to jammers in the cockpit or directly with a winch handle
HOW TO OPEN THE SAIL
- Sail upwind
- Release the main sheet
- Open both continuous line’s jammers
- Pull the outhaul until you get the size of sail you want
- Pull both sides of continuous lines and put jammers on to secure your reefing
HOW TO REEF THE SAIL OR PUT IT IN
- Open outhaul’s jammer by keeping the control of the line
- Open both continuous line’s jammers by keeping control
- Start pulling the side of the line which rolls the sail in by feeding at the same time the outhaul
- If you don’t want the whole sail in pull both sides of continuous line to secure the winch. In this way you block the winch and the sail can’t get more out.
GENERAL TERMS
- Never use winch to pull the continuous line ,If is hard to do , then you probably doing something wrong
- Under rough weather conditions is good to secure your reef by taking the little handle of the winch at the ‘’LOCKED’’ position. In this way the sail can get in but not more out .
- If you have problem with the continuous line you can use a winch handle directly to the winch to reef your sail
- To put your sail in or out always sail upwind
- If you try to reef or to put the sail in downwind probably you’ll get a jammed sail
